The items contained on this page are made from natural materials gathered from traditional and native trees and plants found in Colombia. These materials are a renewable resource and are gathered without damaging the forests that produce them. Sustainable ECO-Fashion is a way to help people in rural areas of Colombia and sustain South American forests and Rain Forests. Purchasing these materials make the natural forest more valuable as a forest, as opposed to other uses.

Many rural communities work in harvesting and selling the seeds, that we find in the Coffee Region of Colombia, Amazonian Rain Forest and tropical coasts of the Pacific and Caribbean Coast. The seeds are gathered by rural Colombians who dry and sell them in the cities. The seeds are then polished, engraved, sometimes colored, and drilled to make small holes in them so they can be sold to local artisans and shops.
The Tagua Palm (Palm Ivory) grows in the tropical coastal areas of Colombia, Panama, and Ecuador. It is one of the most interesting seeds due to its extreme hardness and similarity to ivory. In the past tagua, also known as corozo, was used to make buttons, statuettes, chess pieces, checkers, and a variety of other products. Tagua has largely been displaced by modern plastics. However, a widespread desire to use more environmentally friendly products has led to it's increased popularity in recent years. Palm ivory is nearly identical in appearance to animal ivory. Tagua seeds are used in eco-friendly jewelry.
